Richmond Languages understands how important it is to be committed to the privacy of its participants, and does not disclose their personal details to any third party.

However, we may disclose your details if required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. Also, if our site is merged with or acquired by another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that they may continue to support our products and services.

We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you disclose online.

2. Data Usage

You are free to explore our website without telling us who you are and without providing any information about yourself. However, for security and protection of our students, anyone who books a course with us will need to register and will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact and address details. We will store this data and hold it on our computer system or otherwise. We may use information that you provide for customer and product analysis, to enable us to review, develop and improve our services.

When you register with us for a face-to-face course, you give Richmond Languages the permission to list your first name (and sometimes the first initial of your last name) on our Student Intranet which will be visible to other students registered on the same course. If you do not wish for your name to be visible on our Intranet, please inform your teacher and let us know in writing by email to info@richmondlanguages.com.

3. Cookies

Two cookies are used on our online learning platform.

The essential one is the session cookie. You must allow this cookie into your browser to provide continuity and maintain your login from page to page. When you log out or close the browser this cookie is destroyed (in your browser and on the server).

The other cookie is purely for convenience. It just remembers your username within the browser. This means when you return to this site the username field on the login page will be already filled out for you. It is safe to refuse this cookie - you will just have to retype your username every time you log in.

4. Links

This website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties. Please note that when you click on one of these links or the Intranet, you are 'clicking' to another web site. We encourage you to read the Privacy Statements and Terms and Conditions of these linked sites as they may differ from ours. We are not responsible for personal information that third parties may collect, store and use through their own site.

5. Changes to Policy

We reserve the right and may change the Privacy Policy of this agreement from time to time. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting. By continuing to use the website after we post any changes, you accept and agree to this agreement, as modified.

Your email address may be added to our mailing list and used to notify you of any upcoming courses. If you do not want to receive any notices please send an email to info@richmondlanguages.com advising us.

7. Payment Security

Your online credit card payments to Richmond Languages are secure. They are handled by our Payment Service Provider, Barclaycard. Any payments to us will include Swift Events on your card or bank statement.
